Love the look....

In celebration of NY Fashion Week I thought I'd start off my Monday with a fashion post. It's still frigid here in Boston. So as much as I'd love to be wearing springy brights and pretty ballet flats it just wouldn't be practical.
We are surrounded by snow, so warm boots and cozy jackets are in order! My boyfriend and I are trying to plan an extended warm get away for the beginning of April. My fingers are crossed it all works out. I've had a cold for what seems like months now. I could use a little extra vitamin D....

Olivia always looks so incredibly chic and the outfit on the left is something I'd love to wear while running around NYC. (I'm headed there for an exciting work trip in March)

The good thing about shopping for winter clothing in February is that most items are on sale right now! (some of my picks are on sale - including those killer Prada boots!!)

* If it seems a bit much to splurge on leather pants, I always buy the faux ones at ZARA. They're great and the best knockoff I've seen.

Love the look - Apres Ski

I'm looking forward to a little apres ski weekend! I love warming my buns with a hot tottie and cozy fire after burning some major calories on a chilly mountain!! xx

Love the Look

TGIF! Here's the look I'm loving this week. Victoria nailed the wide legged jeans here! This look is casual but chic enough for afternoon drinks with friends! It's been getting chilly here, I love to pair cozy but stylish sweaters (this v neck cashmere is a great price) with an array of jeans and boots...classic + comfy! Have a great weekend loves!

Love the Look

Happy Friday!! I definitely have a soft spot for girlie details in design and fashion! I dressed as a ballet dancer for Halloween. Now I understand why my three year old loves to wear her tutu's over her leggings so much. This skirt would be a great addition to your wardrobe and would steal the show at any holiday soiree! In fact, I may need to snatch it up myself!!

Love the look

The weather has been beautiful here in Boston but the mornings and evenings definitely have a chill in the air. I'll miss summer but I'm embracing Fall and all it's fashion goodness.
I could own a number of outwear pieces and wear them all! There's a fine line between fabulous and tacky with a little leopard jacket.  You need to choose one wisely, either way I think I'd feel happy every time I wore it!! (the one above on the model is adorable)

Love the look: Fall Picks

It's hard to believe Fall is right around the corner. In lieu of a beloved outfit today I'm posting my fall wish list picks with you!! I tend to layer my looks throughout the Fall and winter. Some of my best fashion pieces and investments have been vests. I'm slightly obsessed with them and style them with almost everything!

Here are the deets and links:

1. I need a new cable knit sweater. This one is actually a boys version but I'm hoping the largest size fits. It's cotton, so it won't be itchy!! I can't deal with itchy sweaters.
2.  This is Longchamp's latest bag. LOVE!
3. I adore this stackable heart ring. Ever since I got divorced and stopped wearing my rings (of course) I've wanted to treat myself to a pretty ring to wear on my right hand instead of my left. This little darling could work.
4. A Tory Burch staple and definite purchase for me this fall.
5. J. Crew Vest, nuff said. (liking this flamingo shade)
6. Leather is everywhere this Fall. This jacket is killer.......need it.
7. Time to switch out my hot pink toes for some moody neutral shades. Essie has great colors.
8. J. Crew over sized jewels never disappoint.
9. Vest #2.  This would work well with both casual and dressy looks.

Love the look

I'm not sure where August has gone! It seems I blinked and it's already the 19th. We are entering a transitional season in Boston. I adore summer but love wearing little booties with my skinny pants! Here's an outfit that I'll absolutely wear this Fall. The sweatshirt will also come in grey (it's the color I'd mix with this look) and will be available on Wednesday through J.Crew! That Marcie bag is on the top of my list as are these Rag and Bone booties. I own the J.Crew pixie pant. I would highly recommend them. They're flattering and the perfect Fall staple.

Between work and trying to move into my new home (eek!!) I hope to sneak in a few more beach days this Summer! xx

Love the look

Summer comes to a screeching halt around here! That's why I'm going to fully enjoy the next three weeks of it (the best I can anyway!) It's going to be a gorgeous weekend, so I'll be sure to wear my summery staples! It's also not a bad time to shop all the summer sales for classic finds you can wear next year. ( some of the items above are on sale!!)

Love the look

I'm all about the high-low mix in my interior designs and with my wardrobe choices. I picked up a pair of denim cut off shorts this summer. I've been wearing them more than I thought I would!
I've also noticed that my fabulous "women" clients have the BEST purses! This Celine one included!

love the look

This week's "love the look" post is inspired by my love of summer-time travel and get aways and a sampling of what I might pack in my overnight bag.

First off, I need to mention Oughton Limited. I own two Oughton Limited designed bags. They are beautifully made, durable, fashionable and super functional! Their new line is made in Italy and includes the Course Overnight bag. (pictured above). I just LOVE this stylish little tote don't you??

My goal is to pack smart and light. There's nothing worse than lugging around a heavy bag while traveling. I try to mix and match staples and dress up/down my looks by changing out my jewelry and accessories, they're light and transportable!

Hope your summer is off to a great start!

Love the look

Besides a bathing suit, what works better than a sundress on a 90 degree day? (our temps in Boston this week). Olivia P. doesn't miss much does she? What a beauty!!

love the look

This week I'm inspired by model Erin Heatherton's look and locks. I love how her hair is styled and her make-up is perfection! (I suppose It helps that she's drop dead gorgeous too). Sometimes you can't go wrong with a "little black dress" and simple make-up. I'd throw on a pair of statement earrings for a little dose of glamour!

p.s. - The Hoola bronzer is my favorite. I wear it everyday!

Love the look

This week I'm inspired by the timeless simplicity of Jackie O.'s style! I'm all about spending my money on classic pieces that I can mix and match with my existing wardrobe. Jackie always got it right!!

It looks as though she's going to take off for the weekend in that sweet little convertible. I don't think I need to say much as to why I'm loving this chic, effortless look! It's very much "my" style! Happy Thursday!

This statement is simple + classic. White jeans and a neutral tank can easily be mixed up with a colorful scarf and accessories. I adore this look during the warmer months!

Love the look

It's finally warming up here! White on white is just "right" for this time of year. It's an easy and flattering look. The outfit above is inspired by what I wore last night!
Happy May! I threw out this question a while ago to my readers: Are you are comfortable wearing white before Memorial Day? The answer? An overwhelming YES!

I hope your are having a fabulous weekend. It's dipped down to a blustery 45 degrees today. Ouch! Here's what I'd really love to be wearing today! You can't go wrong with Jackie O. inspired style.

Color, color, color. I'll take some brights and warm, sunny weather please! I'm adoring all the colorful hues around the fashion world this winter, spring! Hopefully I'll be able to wear some of them soon. Today I'm wearing black leggings, a sweater and Hunter wellies! It's 39 degrees in Boston! Yikes!

Love the Look

I've decided to share another casual fashion post this week. I guess you know where my head is. I'll go with something frilly + springy next week, promise. I'm looking forward to wearing my colorful frocks and printed spring/summer pieces, but it feels more like February here lately. I also just realized most of my spring clothing is in storage; sounds like just as good an excuse as any to go shopping for some new attire! I also booked a trip last week for the Nantucket Wine Festival in May. I'll surely need a new wine tasting outfit.
I was inspired by the above photo but decided to tweak the look slightly. I don't really wear ripped jeans. I have one vintage pair and might throw them on once a year, if that. Wow, do I sound old? I do, however, like the look of washed out jeans, so I shared a J.Crew version instead.
Happy Wednesday! It's been a bit of a rough week. I'll be happy when cocktail hour rolls around. Cheers!
