It is always amazing how a week with no plans fills to the brim..  maybe there were things to do and I was pretending that my schedule was open.. who knows.. Last week proved to be quite busy indeed and it bled right into the weekend.  I hope you are enjoying yours!

Here are a few of my favorite things from this week to keep you going..

These may have found their way into my cupboard but there are still so many left for you!
We added some amazing newly discovered art pieces to the shop.
Everyone seems to be looking for a getaway right about now.. I love this idea!
Work picked back up in Palm Springs this week... and a big Thank You to all of my Pinterest partners in crime I hit 25,000!

Planting: Drought Tolerant Garden

Last fall we stayed in a house in Northern California with the most wonderful garden I have seen in a long while.  I loved that it was filled with beautiful grasses and succulents but also it had herbs and some great native plants.  I struggle with our landscape in the front of the house.  It has become a very sore spot for me as I cannot get anything to grow well...  I promise I am not usually a plant killer but something about this house has really challenged me for the past 5 years!  I am thinking this spring I will implement this style of garden and see how we do.  I would love hear what you think?  Have you used this approach?  I am thinking a little native and wild like these beds...

Modern grey in Los Angeles...

We all wonder what it would be like to own a villa in California...  this would be a perfect way to keep it feeling down to earth and beautiful.  I love the clean lines, the natural light is amazing and the simple color palette makes it very appealing.

Grey in the garden..

The simple clean feeling in this garden is so alluring!   I am leaning towards this style for our garden in the front of the house.  The little rabbits are less likely to nibble on these drought tolerant guys too which is a huge plus!  Hopefully this year we can put that plan into action!

Natural beauty

I love that depth can be created with texture and interesting objects.  This is a perfect example and I love that marble cocktail table.  Eclectic and simple at the same time.
