I am completely in love with this snippit of a space.  The dark doors as a devider are super fun - we could totally do that - love the lights// love the chairs.

I am completely in love with this entire home.  The soft colors and textures in the spaces are perfection.  Clean, simple and  sophisticated.  I could see myself relaxing here for sure.  You?

Bold in black... 47 Park Avenue

 

I came across a single image from this gorgeous home on pinterest and fell hard!  This is such an inspiring space, and just one of many on Micheal's blog.   He covers their renovation in beautiful detail and the results are enough to make me want to paint everything black and white and add bold mixes of color.  It is beyond wonderful! 

 

 

I love the pups too!  They also have an English bulldog that is not pictured here.. yes I may have stalked the blog a little!

Dark Decor

When I see walls painted black, I think AMAZING, they make such a bold statement. It's unexpected and neutral at the same time. Usually black is thought to create a moody look, but I think that the picture below looks so energetic and fun.

I'm just not sure I could ever commit to it. Can you imagine how many coats it would take to paint over that?! One day I might work up the courage, but for now I am fully committed to painting doors black. It makes a similar impact on a smaller scale.
