Shelter Loves....

This week I'm loving aztec inspired patterns and citrus hues! Here's the background on this week's thoughts and finds:

1. One beautiful bauble is all you need to finish off an outfit.
2. Pretty in pink.  This bedroom is sweet and simple..I've been working on my daughter's room. It's pale pink, purple and cream. (with a few other shades mixed in)
3. I'd LOVE to make these. I'm sure they're much yummier than the Hostess version....
4. I'll take this entire outfit. I love mixing unexpected pieces.
5. YES!
6. I never tire of chinoiserie inspired prints. This lamp is adorable.
7. I'm seeing Aztec inspired prints everywhere for Spring and Summer.

Love the look....

In celebration of NY Fashion Week I thought I'd start off my Monday with a fashion post. It's still frigid here in Boston. So as much as I'd love to be wearing springy brights and pretty ballet flats it just wouldn't be practical.
We are surrounded by snow, so warm boots and cozy jackets are in order! My boyfriend and I are trying to plan an extended warm get away for the beginning of April. My fingers are crossed it all works out. I've had a cold for what seems like months now. I could use a little extra vitamin D....

Olivia always looks so incredibly chic and the outfit on the left is something I'd love to wear while running around NYC. (I'm headed there for an exciting work trip in March)

The good thing about shopping for winter clothing in February is that most items are on sale right now! (some of my picks are on sale - including those killer Prada boots!!)

* If it seems a bit much to splurge on leather pants, I always buy the faux ones at ZARA. They're great and the best knockoff I've seen.

Take me away....

Last week my mind was on skiing (which was a blast by the way). It is always so fun try new experiences/trips/events together for the first time with a new "love". I hadn't been skiing since I had my children. My boyfriend and I had such a nice time. We stayed at the Woodstock inn and also my parent's house in Vermont. I can't wait to go skiing again at the end of the month......

It's been frigid for most of January so we've decided to go away. This time we are heading south. I can only escape for a long weekend, but a bit of warmth is better than none at all. I'll be sure to share my hypothetical packing list via a "love the look" post.

Here's a bit of Florida style inspiration for you..bathing suit image is via  Although, I don't see this adorable suit on the site.

Love the look - Apres Ski

I'm looking forward to a little apres ski weekend! I love warming my buns with a hot tottie and cozy fire after burning some major calories on a chilly mountain!! xx

Shelter Loves.....

We had another blizzard in Boston last night! I'm trying my best to embrace the winter. (not my favorite season) I should add, as I type this delayed post (school was of course canceled) that the sun looks beautiful shining on the freshly fallen snow!!

I'm heading up north to ski and relax with my boyfriend this weekend. I'm looking forward to the change of scenery.

Here's what I'm loving this week: (I have visions of Aerin Lauder's amazing ski house in my head)

1. I need a new shorter black ski jacket. I'd like to purchase a multi-functional one!
2. Loving this velvet sofa and artwork! (Sara Gilbane design)
3. Someday I would love to have a large mudroom/laundry room. Snowy, salty boots take over the entrance in the winter.
4. I think I'll wear a loose braid this weekend!
5. I LIVE for lip balm. I'm addicted. (could be worse)
6. I'd love a warm, over sized pink sweater just like this!
